Pitching to Dispatch is simple. All we want to know is why our readers should care about your subject, and why you’re the best person to write about it.
Your article might take the form of a reported feature, a long-form interview or an investigation. It might be narrative-driven, or something more experimental. We’re open to pretty much anything — though draw the line at haikus (for now).
But do bear in mind Dispatch’s mission: to tell untold stories about people, places and ideas on the world’s peripheries — all with a double-shot of frontier spirit thrown in.
Other things to note:
- Please send all pitches to pitches@dispatch-media.com.
- We settle invoices within week of publication — if not sooner.
- We cover reporting expenses, as agreed in advance.
- We commission photography, so if you’re more comfortable with a camera than a keyboard, don't be shy.
- We aim to reply to every pitch, but sometimes that isn't possible. If you have not heard back within one week, please assume your pitch has not been accepted.
